Julia, who is originally from Germany, joined the German Department in the PhD program in Fall 2003.
     
  Education:
 
  • First State Exam in the subjects German and Art, minors in Education, Philosophy and Psychology, from the University of Osnabrueck, Germany (2004)
  Research Interests:
 
  • Literature of the Goethe-Zeit and 20th Century German literature
  • The development of the term Heimat in German speaking countries throughout the 20th Century in literature, film and art.
  Personal Interests:  
 
  • If she had time, Julia would probably enjoy black & white photography, painting and crafts, reading, and spending more time with her husband.
