Katrin Springer started as a Ph. D. student at Rutgers in Fall 2005.
 
  Education:
  • MA in Cultural Studies at Europa Universität Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder), 2005
    • specialization: social and cultural anthropology, history of middle and eastern Europe
 
  • Expected Ph.D. in Spring 2012. Dissertation topic: Alexander Kluge and Contemporary German Film
   
  Research Interests:
  • film & gender
  • cultural studies, national and transnational identity, ethnic minorities, migration, 20th century German literature in east and west

  • Instructur and organizer for Rutgers in Berlin 2007, 2008, 2010
  • Instructor for all levels of German, including Business and Medical German at "Neue Schule"/ Berlin and "Austrian Institute"/ Wroclaw, Poland (2007- 2009)
