Chaitrali Kulkarni joined the department in Spring 2021 as a Craig Fellow.
I completed my Bachelors in German Studies from Fergusson College, Pune University, India. For my Masters in German Literature I moved to Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. During my Masters I received the Baden-Württemberg Stipendium to spend one semester at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität, Freiburg. I joined the German Department at Rutgers in Spring 2021. My academic research interests include German literature and theatre around the turn of the century (Jahrhundertwende), Philosophy of Language, Cinema of the Weimar Period and social theatre in Hindi and Marathi cultural spaces.
