Academic History & Interests
Nino joined the department in Fall 2025 as an Excellence Fellow. He completed both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. His Bachelor’s thesis examined the poetics of hospitality in the work of Paul Celan, while his Master’s thesis focused on spatial concepts in the work of Franz Kafka. His broader research interests include the philosophy of language, nineteenth- and twentieth-century German philosophy, Jewish studies, and Classical political philosophy.
His current research interests are increasingly oriented toward the German Bildungsroman and questions of pedagogy.
